Maryland’s Senior Mike Messina

“The first two matches were a little rough but we did good. We kept our heads in it and played our best game against Tennessee. We played okay against Arkansas State and Cal which are both high caliber teams. Our kickoffs- we lost a couple but we had the ball and we played well and played good defense for the most part.”

“[When I was applying to schools] I actually chose Tech because I saw them at the CRC. We come every year and I’ve grown as a rugby player. Our team’s grown at the school and it just keeps getting better and better. Today’s play was good. We came out a little bit softer than we want to against Penn State but the second game versus Life we really took it to them and we won that game. The third game we won by a lot but we wanted a little more.”

Virginia Tech 7 vs. Life 5

Virginia Tech 12 vs. Penn State 29

Virginia Tech 24 vs. Drexel 7

Penn State Men’s sophomore Ryan McNulty

“One of the biggest things that brought me [to Penn state] was that the coaching staff is great here, the players are great and everything is provided for you. We’ve been doing great taking it one game at a time. In our system we practice and just stick to our plan.”

Penn State 29 vs. Virginia Tech 12

Penn State 27 vs. Drexel 12

Penn State 7 vs. 17 Life

NSCRO Select Side’s Nikki Ciccarelli of Mt. St. Mary’s

“Coming from a small school where we get barely anything and being treated like an actual collegiate athlete- since we’re a club and we don’t get that varsity sport treatment. So coming here and getting gear and all that. It’s honestly amazing being able to play at a higher caliber- that’s what’s been so great.”
